TECNOLOGÍAS AVANZADAS AGRÍCOLAS, S.L. has received a grant from IVACE for the project "Development and manufacture of a new treatment to tackle the phytopathology of olive plantations caused by the infection of the phytopathogenic fungus Fusicladiumoleagineum". The project has been supported by IVACE within the program "PROYECTOSDE INNOVACIÓN DE PYME (INNOVA-CV)", with a grant of 39.266,50€ and co-financing from the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF), in a percentage of 60 %, through the ERDF Operational Program of the Valencian Community 2021-2027.
OBJECTIVE: The general objective of the project is to develop and manufacture a new sustainable treatment against the phytopathogenic fungus. Fusicladium oleagineumThe aim of the project is to develop a new biotechnology-based treatment to increase agricultural yields in olive cultivation. Specifically, the development and manufacture of a new treatment for the fungus Fusicladium oleagineumIt is a fungus that causes heavy economic losses by affecting olive trees and fruits.
RESULTS: As a result of the project, a product has been developed that is valid for the Fusicladium oleagineumThe disease is associated with other opportunistic pathogens, creating fungal associations that interact for a greater reciprocal benefit, so that a broader and not so specific action is necessary to limit the growth of the pathology.
The main advantages of the new product are:
- Efficiency
- Avoids the loss of trees with the consequent economic losses. - Sustainable: suitable for organic crops.
- Treatment suitable for all weather conditions.
- Free of chemical residues
- Copper inputs to crops are reduced, thus helping to consolidate European requirements for heavy metal residue limits.
