TECNOLOGÍAS AVANZADAS AGRÍCOLAS, S.L. has received the help of IVACE for the project "NEW TREATMENTS FOR THE ADDRESS OF THE PHYTOPATHOLOGY OF THE OAK TREE (QUERCUS FAMILY) PRODUCED BY THE INFECTION OF THE FUNGUS PHYTOPHTHORA CINNAMOMI". The project has been supported by IVACE within the program "PROYECTOS DE I+D DE PYME (PIDI-CV) para el ejercicio 2019", with a grant of 13,501.80€ and with funding from the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF), in a percentage of 50 %, through the ERDF Operational Program of the Valencian Community 2014-2020.
OBJECTIVE: The general objective of the project is to develop new sustainable treatments (preventive and curative) against phytopathogenic bacteria, Phytophthora cinnamomi, based on biotechnology, that allow, using means and procedures within the margins established by the ecological legislation, to stop the problems caused by the fungus Phytophtora cinnamoni.
RESULTS: As a result of the project, a fungistatic and fungicidal treatment has been developed in the early stages of the disease that can help to combat the dry oak. The new treatment has a number of advantages such as:
- Efficiency
- Avoid the loss of trees with the consequent economic losses.
- Sustainable: Suitable for organic crops
- Treatment suitable for all weather conditions.
- Free of chemical residues
